PSA Sponsored Town Hall Meeting (pdf)
In an effort to address some of your questions, on Thursday January 21st at 7:00 p.m., the PSA will be sponsoring a “Town Hall Meeting.” The PSA has requested that Dr. Bistocchi and I be in attendance so that we may, to the best of our ability, answer any questions that parents may have regarding the Magnet High School or our district, in general. In the continued spirit of acting as a team and as a way of making the town hall meeting as effective and informative as possible, we are requesting that questions be submitted in advance via e-mail to ccittadino@ucvts.tec.nj.us, prior to January 8th. We look forward to seeing you there!

Relay for Life...We did it again!
Our last year’s district wide Relay for Life event, through the American Cancer Society, has earned the highest youth per capita award in the nation! The event was an incredible night where students, families and teachers gave of their time and energy to raise money for cancer research. Over $118,000.00 was raised by our schools! This was an incredible team effort by all. Thank you to all those students and families who contributed their time, resources and money. Thank you also to Mrs. LeBrun and Mrs. Oels for their advisorships of the Community Service clubs and in supervising the students who organized the events! This is truly an exceptional accomplishment! Well done UCVTS!

Procedure Spotlight: Communications Protocol
Often times, issues come up with students in their classes. More of these times than not, issues can be worked out before they escalate to a point that warrants intervention by you (the parents), the guidance counselors, or administrators. In addition, and in the spirit of the teamwork between teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents, we have the undertaking of teaching self advocacy to the students in our care, as it is an important life skill. For this reason, we feel it is very important to give students the freedom and the sometimes seemingly daunting responsibility of trying to work out difficulties on their own. The following steps outline the procedures which parents and students should take in achieving resolution of a classroom issue.
